I did it. Level 40. A milestone, a moment of triumph, a time to celebrate!

Or at least, it should be… if I wasn’t completely broke.

You see, in Classic WoW, hitting level 40 isn’t just about leveling up—it’s about finally getting a mount. No more running for miles, no more wishing my tiny gnome legs could move faster. I was so ready to feel the wind in my hair as I rode off into the sunset on my majestic… wait. How much does this thing cost?!

The realization hit me like a fireball to the face. I needed 100 gold. One. Hundred. Gold. I checked my bags, sold everything that wasn’t nailed down, and still—not even close.

Where did all my money go? Oh, right. Spells, crafting materials… and maybe tipping a few too many warlocks for summons because, let’s be real, I’d rather pay than run.

So now, instead of proudly riding through Azeroth, I’m out here desperately farming herbs, fishing for anything valuable, and picking up every single copper that drops. Even rats are starting to look like potential sources of income.

Will I ever get my mount? Eventually. Until then, I’ll keep hoofing it on my own two feet, dreaming of the day when I, too, can ride in style.
